These terms apply to sharpening and repair services provided by The Blade Bloke. By booking a job with us, you agree to these terms.
Our services
We sharpen and repair a range of knives and tools, including kitchen and chef knives, hunting and outdoor knives, serrated knives, meat cleavers, scissors, axes, hatchets and wood chisels. We may decline any item we don't believe we can safely or properly service, and we'll let you know if that's the case.
Quotes and pricing
Prices shown on our website and in conversation are a guide. The final price depends on the item, its condition and the work required, and we'll confirm it with you before or on completion. All prices are in Australian dollars.
Bookings, pickup and drop-off
You can book by phone, text, email, Instagram or Facebook. We offer pickup and delivery as well as drop-off. Pickup and delivery depend on your location and distance, which we'll confirm when you contact us.
Condition of your items
Sharpening removes a small amount of metal and can't be reversed. We take great care with every item, but please note:
- Older, damaged, very worn or low-quality blades may have pre-existing faults that can't be fully corrected, and in rare cases a hidden defect may cause a blade to fail during sharpening.
- We'll always assess your item and raise any concerns with you before proceeding.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, defects or normal wear and tear.
Your responsibility
Freshly sharpened tools are very sharp. Once an item is back with you, safe handling and storage are your responsibility.
Payment
Payment is due on completion or collection. We accept tap-and-pay in person, PayID and bank transfer.
Uncollected items
Please collect your items within a reasonable time after we let you know they're ready. If items are left uncollected for an extended period, we'll contact you to arrange collection.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any item is limited to re-performing the sharpening service or refunding the amount you paid for that item.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be on this page.
